I just unlocked all the free songs available. That's 84 from the Rock Band 2 disc, 55 exported from the Rock Band 1 disc, 20 free bonus downloaded songs for Rock Band 2, and 21 tracks downloaded from the online music store.
To do it, I had to drum a song that was 4/5 difficulty on the hard setting.
So they claim to have 500 songs available, but at 2 dollars a pop for extra downloaded songs, I think I'm about done.
P.S. For Kirat, now I have a Linkin Park song, "One Step Closer."
