Since the Finals MVP award was introduced in 1969, nine players have been awarded the MVP in both the regular season and the NBA Finals. This is a great accomplishment to be the best player over 82 games, and then lead your team to the championship and be the best player in the finals.
Only three players have done this more than once:
Michael Jordan (4 times)
Larry Bird (2 times)
LeBron James (2 times)
