First, that was a really fun Illini win.
Second, in May I wrote about how the team I wanted the Avs to beat the most was now the Minnesota Wild. They play 5 times this year, tonight being game 4. In the first three games, the Wild won all three, by a cumulative score of 9-0. So it would be nice if the Avs could win one, or at the very least, get a goal.

Avs Game Tonight
Got a free ticket (through work) to the Avs game tonight against the Kings. It's lower bowl, 8 rows behind the benches. I've sat in the lower bowl twice before, and it was awesome, but both times it was behind the goals. Also, it's the first sporting event I'll have ever been to by myself.

#illini
I just watched the whole game, the last 8 minutes of regulation from G's room while he was going to bed. (I have to sit on the floor while he falls asleep, or else he won't go to sleep.) That was awesome.
Sellout.
Orange Out.
New attendance record at State Farm Center, that will never be broken.
Dee Brown bobblehead night.
Hosting Michigan.
Down 50-43 with 3 minutes to go.
Nunn assists to Rayvonte Rice back from injury, gets his first points of the game.
With 2:22 to go, Egwu denies the entry pass 3 times and forces a 5-second violation.
Nunn scores.
Rayvonte with the huge rebound.
Nunn for 3 to tie it.
Illini blow the chance to go 2-for-1 after getting the ball with 1:03 left...but totally redeem themselves by getting the big stop on Michigan's last possession of regulation.
Free basketball.
People like Bill Barnwell say there's no such thing as momentum. He might be right. But Illinois turned a 7-0 run into a 21-0 run. It was 14-0 in overtime with 14 seconds left. Michigan got some garbage time free throws.
So there you have it. Rayvonte Rice is back. Illinois are 7-5 in conference, 17-8 overall.

MY PROPHECY CAME TRUE
http://hoagiecentral.blogspot.com/2015/01/i-figured-out-super-bowl-49.html
I fucking nailed this one.
The Seahawks had a double-digit lead--the largest comeback in Super Bowl history. AND Seattle had the ball on the one-foot line with a minute to play. With Lynch who seems like the most dependable running back in the game right now. I think everyone in the building thought Seattle was going to take the lead. The announcers were talking about should the Pats let Seattle score so they could get the ball back with 30 seconds left.
Best call ever?
