On Saturday, Illinois got their first Big Ten win of the season over Minnesota, who was 3-0 in the Big Ten.
On Sunday, I saw the Chiefs blowout the Rams in person 34-7 to get to 4-3 on the season.
And on Monday, I beat Bobby 129-90 to get to 7-1 on the season. Luck put up 32, Hilton 24, Lacy 21.

first triple crown in a while
This post is a week old, but a good one.
Illinois football beat Cincinnati 45-17.
The Chiefs beat the Jaguars 28-2 to start the season.
And thanks to Randall Cobb and Witten, I beat Ted 119.5-93.5.

the elusive triple crown
Is it a mirage?
No, it's a Illini Big Ten Win (5-0, Northwestern), a Chiefs Win (1-3, Vikings), and a Fantasy win over Mark!
Usually the Chiefs win is the highlight of the weekend, but this year, the win over the Vikings is mostly cosmetic. I'll expound in separate posts.
Editor's Note: I put in the current records and opponents not for today's clarity, but so when I look back at all the triple crown posts through the years, I can remember them.

odds and ends
Last week I experienced the rare triple crown: Illini win, Chiefs win, and fantasy win.
Last year I believe those three teams started a combined 1-8.
The last triple crown was in week 2 but it included wins over Northern Illinois and the Cleveland Browns.
The last triple crown that included a Big Ten win? We don't have records that go back that far.

In week 4, the Chiefs were the biggest underdog of the week.
In week 8, the Chiefs are the biggest favorite of the week.
P.S. They didn't cover against the Colts.
