Abilene Work Trip #1

This job continues to be a blessing. And that includes my first work trip to Abilene. 

I wished I could have seen Interstellar at the Paramount, looked like a cool theater. 

Best thing I ate was the short rib at Cork & Pig. Worst thing was the sandwich at Bogie's cafe. (not pictured)

Work Trip: Cleveland Shoot

Spent 4 nights in Cleveland filming some new good stuff. 

I got to see a tagline I wrote being sold in stores, and isn't that the American dream?

For the first time we didn't stay at the Arcade, but still popped in to see it post-Superman.

My favorite quote was from the Director who said about one take: "It will be better...when we do it better."

Work Trip: Buffalo

Had a quick one night work trip in Buffalo.

Buffalo Work Trip

I got to go to Buffalo for the first time. (As a kid I did go to Niagara Falls / Buffalo but don't really have any Buffalo memories. And my Niagara Falls memories are distant as well.)

I had four meals in Buffalo and consumed at least one wing at all four meals.

First up, was Gabriel's Gate. Ever since I saw this video 6 years ago, I knew Gabriel's Gate was a must visit. Delicious wings.

We had one day of sightseeing and squeezed in a bunch. My favorite was Niagara Falls.

I did the Maid of the Mist boat and you really get immersed in the mist at Horseshoe Falls. Makes it hard to see but it is quite the experience.

Got a flight at Big Ditch Brewing Co. named after the spirit of the Erie Canal.

There is a General Mills plant that does make one part of the city smell like Cheerios.

It is my job to not keep Buffalo a secret.

Inside Martin House, a Frank Lloyd Wright building.

Inside the Buffalo History Museum. 

Beef on Weck at Eckl's. Good but I don't need to go back.

Really great ice cream at Rosie's. This was the Bada Bing Bada Bourbon.

And the other top wing we had was at Bar-Bill Tavern. These wings are hand-painted and also excellent.

Work Trip to Cleveland

In mid-May I took a quick 2 night work trip to Cleveland. Good food and good work. 

Work Trip to Salt Lake City

I saw Steve Kerr several times, including while he was working out. I also saw Steph Curry with my own eyes, as well as several other NBA players.
