NCAA Championship Game: Must See To Believe

In the My Career mode, you create a player, start in high school, pick from 9 colleges to attend, and attempt to win the National Championship before being drafted into the NBA.

I'm Nick Beam, a 6'8" SF with a high top fade.

I find my team down 7 with under a minute to play...this game truly has to be seen to be believed.

  1. Here are all the reasons I thought this was unbelievable, but didn't want to spoil the video.

    1. At the very beginning you can see I'm 0/6 with 0 points. In my high school state championship I was 11/13 with 23 points. So this is a rough game for Nick Beam. Also, the National Championship is on my home court with no Final Four graphics? Lame.

    2. With 2 minutes in the game, I try to drive and can't so I pass to a teammate who misses an open 3.

    3. Then with 1:55 to go I make a great deflection, which then they take me out of the game, and when I come back in, we're down 7. What the hell. I guess I shouldn't have deflected it.

    4. With :44 left, ice cold Nick Beam makes his first shot of the game, a rushed contested three.

    5. With :30 left, another deep shot, he gets the roll, but my foot was on the line.

    6. With :20 left, what a steal! And we're tied up!

    7. With :6 left, I could play D for overtime...but I foul.

    8. With :4 left, I'm running up the floor and I mysterious target appears. Never seen something like that in the 7 games I've played (or the 9 NBA games I've played since) so I'm thinking this is some sort of magical spot where he's supposed to make the shot for a storybook ending. In the moment, I thought it was a little lame, but I wanted to win and only had 2 seconds to debate between taking a three ball on the spot, or left of the spot where I was originally headed. I took the spot. Thanks for nothing, magical spot! Amazing comeback for nothing. Also, really funny that I was the one that both fouled and missed the last shot.

I was still drafted 17th by the Bucks.

  2. I thought you were going to win when that spot lit up at the end. Also, I didn't see the stats about how bad your guy had been to that point
