Chiefs Playoff Paths

The Chiefs travel to Houston next weekend. Even though the team can't look past them, I can't help it.

Divisional Round Scenario #1, if Steelers win:

Steelers at Broncos
Chiefs at Patriots

AFC Conference Championship Scenario #1, if Steelers win twice

Steelers at Chiefs

AFC Conference Championship Scenario #2, if Steelers win then lose

Chiefs at Broncos

Divisional Round Scenario #2, if Bengals win:

Bengals at Patriots
Chiefs at Broncos

AFC Conference Championship Scenario #3, if Bengals win twice

Chiefs at Bengals

AFC Conference Championship Scenario #4, if Bengals win then lose

In other words there are four possible sets of future matchups for Chiefs:

Set #1
Chiefs at Patriots
Steelers at Chiefs

Set #2
Chiefs at Patriots
Chiefs at Broncos

Chiefs at Broncos
Chiefs at Patriots


Set #3 is my favorite, with Set #1 close behind. I think the Broncos and Bengals are beatable right now. The Patriots are banged up but I don't like my chances going into Foxboro with them on two weeks rest. But if KC beats NE, obviously the AFC Champ game at Arrowhead would be amazing. I'd prefer Set #4 over Set #2 for the reasons I just stated.
