Vikings trade for Josh Dobbs, who just went 1-7 with the Cardinals. Hold that thought.
Let's jump back to 2009. The 2008 Vikings won their division and were riding high on incredible seasons from Adrian Peterson. They had a real window to contend for the Super Bowl. In 2009 they signed Brett Favre.
From Hoagie Central in 2009:
Here's the remainder of Peterson's career with the Vikings:
They went all-in with Favre in 2009, won one playoff game, before Favre choked the game with a vintage interception. They got one more year out of Favre and they went 6-10. Never found a QB and wasted Adrian Peterson's Super Bowl window.
Jump forward to 2016. Bridgewater gets hurt so they give up a first round pick for Sam Bradford.
Hoagie Central panned the move:
They got two seasons of Sam Bradford in exchange for that first round pick.
